"Mr. Jarvis..." Cedric looked at Stephen in disbelief, clearly taken aback by the words that
had just left Stephen's lips.
Stephen cut him off sharply, "She's just a child. Is that what you're trying to tell me?"
Hadn't Cedric emphasized time and time again in front of Natalie that Kayla was just a
child?
"Just because she's a child, does that mean Natalie has to accept it? Did Luna have to be
sacrificed because of that?"
Stephen's words hit Cedric like stones, each one piercing his heart like a blade.
These were universal truths everyone understood!
Yet, when faced with reality, people often showed favoritism.
And Cedric's favoritism was clearly directed towards Isabella and her daughter.
Did he feel trapped at that time? Even if he did, his actions were unforgivable to Natalie
and Luna!
"This is your last warning, Cedric!" Stephen's voice was icy and dangerous. "Leave this

With those final words, Stephen departed. Cedric was left rooted in place, struggling to
process the gravity of the moment.
Stephen rarely spoke so much at once, but the essence of it all was captured in one
question...
What right did Cedric have to expect Natalie and Luna to accept those he deemed
important?
From start to finish, whether it was Isabella or Kayla, they were pivotal figures only in
Cedric's world.
Neither Luna nor Natalie had any obligation to accept or acknowledge them.
But what had happened between him and Natalie?!
How had their relationship deteriorated to this point?
How?!
Heather paced around in Lotus Villa as she held Luna in her arms, attempting to soothe
her.
Luna was Cedric's daughter, yet the moment she saw that man, her eyes reflected an
unmistakable fear of him.
Stephen approached Heather and said to Luna, "Come to your grandpa, Luna."
"Grandpa!" Luna looked up at Stephen with a pitiable expression, clearly shaken by the
recent events.
Ever since Luna returned from the hospital, she had been restless for several days. It was
evident that during those three days, Cedric had become a demonic presence in her
world.
Now, that demon had resurfaced, terrifying little Luna.
"It's okay now. Grandpa has scared away the bad man. You don't have to be afraid
anymore, little moon," Stephen said, taking the child into his arms.
His tone was tender, filled with affection.
Luna nestled comfortably in Stephen's embrace, her little arms wrapped tightly around his

"Grandpa," she murmured.
"It's all right now, no need to be scared," Stephen reassured her, noting the tremble in
Luna's body.
A hint of anger and danger flickered in his eyes.
Meanwhile, Natalie sat on the sofa, struggling to collect her thoughts. Clearly, Cedric's
sudden appearance had left her stunned!
According to her calculations and precautions, Cedric shouldn't have been able to appear
here.
Yet, he had!
This suggested that many things related to Wexford might not be as straightforward as
she had perceived.
It was becoming evident that things were more complex than what Stephen had conveyed
to her.
And maybe, just like Cedric had said...
Perhaps things weren't as simple as Natalie thought it was.
